MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song for the year 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. This album peaked at eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca, which was the Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he appeared in a duet with TINI on her streaming smash song Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in a musical family, his older brother and mother are each musicians. In his interviews, Turizo has declared that music is an essential part of his life. In his early years, he learned how to play the saxophone, the ukulele, and piano. Although he initially wanted to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his career.
